EDUCATION & BACKGROUND

Hi! My name is Katie Hunt.

I have loved music for as long as I can remember—whether it was playing in the car, at church, or on TV, music was always a part of my life. I’ve always enjoyed singing and performing, and I started singing competitively in 7th grade through UIL Solo and Ensemble and TMEA All-State Choir.

I also grew up involved in dance, musical theater, and choir, which helped shape my passion for the performing arts. I earned my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Dallas Baptist University, a campus I had known for years thanks to their All-State Choir camp.

I’m excited to continue my studies this fall as I begin my master’s in music performance at the University of Texas at Arlington. Outside of teaching, I love singing whenever I get the chance and am always looking for new opportunities to perform and connect through music.
