EDUCATION & BACKGROUND

Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Music
from Belmont University
+ 15 Years Teaching & Managing Destiny Studio

Hey Friend! I’m Sarah, and I am the proud and incredibly grateful owner of Destiny Studio.

In 2009, Destiny Studio started in a spare bedroom after I moved back to Mansfield from Nashville, Tennessee, where I earned a degree in Commercial Music from Belmont University. I accidentally started this business as a fresh college graduate, just trying to figure out what to do with my life. In God’s providential way, one “next right thing” led to another… and 17 years later, I am in awe of what He has built and feel immense gratitude for the thousands of singers and musicians we’ve had the privilege of coaching. I can hardly believe it.

My own music journey began at a very young age—I sang publicly for the first time as a toddler and haven’t really stopped since. ;-) Over the years, I’ve worked with thousands of singers across genres like Pop, Worship, Disney, and Musical Theater. I’ve had the honor of coaching contestants on American Idol and The Voice, as well as training talent featured on major television networks.

Since those early days, Destiny Studio has continued to grow in ways I never could have imagined. We opened our second location in Aledo in 2021 and expanded again to McKinney in 2025. I am so thankful for the families we serve in each of these communities and excited about where we’re headed next—truly, let me know where we should go! ;)

Along the way, I’ve been incredibly honored to receive recognition for this journey, including being named 2025 Music School Owner of the Year by Build A Music School and a 2025 40 Under 40 recipient by the Mansfield Business Alliance. These honors are such a reflection of the amazing team and families that make Destiny Studio what it is.

In addition to my work at Destiny, I have the honor of leading worship each weekend at RiverStone Church in Mansfield, which is such a meaningful part of my life and ministry. In 2023, I also founded Wild Oak Academy, a microschool here in Mansfield. While I don’t have a traditional background in education, I am a passionate mom and entrepreneur who deeply believes in building strong families and rethinking how we educate the next generation.

One of the things closest to my heart is the 414 Foundation, which I founded to expand access to music education and mentorship for students in underserved communities across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We believe every child has a God-given purpose and deserves the opportunity to grow in confidence, creativity, and character—regardless of their circumstances. Through the foundation, we are working to place instruments in students’ hands, mentors by their side, and confidence in their hearts as they discover their voice and step into their destiny.

Over the years, I’ve realized that what we’re really doing at Destiny Studio—and in so many areas of my life—is cultivating confidence. I know with absolute certainty that confidence changes people, and people change the world. I truly believe we are raising world changers… one lesson at a time.

But more than anything, my greatest joy and ministry is my family—my husband Chad and our amazing kids: Sadie Grace, Sophie Joy, and Tate Ryan. You’ll often find them at the studio with me—playing Pac-Man, telling jokes, or making me a (very delicious & necessary) cup of coffee from the lobby Keurig. :)

Additional loves of my life:

  • tacos

  • Nordstrom

  • the beach

  • Diet Coke with lime

  • a really good playlist (check out my favorites on this page!)

I can’t wait to meet you. And if no one has told you lately… confidence looks good on you. ;)
