Hello! My name is Evan Jones and I was born and raised in Northern California with a few detours to Spain, Missouri and Austin, Texas along the way. My parents bought me my first drum set when I was 2 years old and really started to hone my skills when I started middle school. I went on to join the drumline in high school and eventually became the Pit Captain for two years, which led me to go to college at SAGU in Waxahachie, Texas to pursue music! 

 

I recently graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Music and during my time in college I produced, recorded, mixed and mastered 3 studio albums under the name Evan the Astrokid, as well as 2 film scores used by the SAGU Digital Media Arts Department in their short films. And now that I have graduated I am so incredibly grateful and excited to be a part of the Destiny Studio team!

 

I love to make music, study films and scriptwriting, play video games and cook food! My favorite song is Kanye Cares by Wordsplayed, my favorite movie is Rango with Johnny Depp, my favorite show is Avatar the Last Airbender, my favorite video game is Smash Bros Ultimate and my favorite food is any and all asian food!

 

Since my time as Pit Captain and then being at SAGU I have taught drums, piano, voice, artist development, live audio mixing, video editing and much more! I can't wait to meet you all and I hope we can be friends and grow together as people who love music!
